Description
The 10kW Luxpower hybrid inverter is built for South African homes and small businesses that exceed the capacity of typical 5kW units — think properties running a pool pump, geyser, air conditioning, and a home office simultaneously. At 10kW continuous output on a 48V battery bus, it can power virtually any residential load without requiring the owner to be conscious of inverter capacity limits.
Dual MPPT trackers allow solar panels to be connected in two independent strings — useful for split-orientation roof installations where one face receives morning sun and another afternoon sun. Each MPPT tracker independently maximises yield from its string, so a shaded panel on one string doesn’t reduce output on the other.
The Luxpower platform supports both grid-feed (export to municipality grid) and off-grid island mode, with automatic transfer switching in under 20ms during Eskom outages. The built-in Wi-Fi connects to the LuxpowerTek monitoring portal for real-time energy flow data and historical analysis. Generator input is supported for extended cloudy periods or winter months in the Cape.
Luxpower inverters carry a 5-year manufacturer warranty with local support through authorised South African service centres, and firmware updates are regularly released to add features and improve battery communication compatibility.
