Warranty and Returns Policy

Return window

New, unopened products may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund or exchange.

Condition of returned goods

  • Products must be unopened, unused and in original packaging.
  • All original accessories, documentation and packaging must be included.
  • Customized or modified products are not returnable.

Return process

  1. Contact End Loadshedding first. All returns require a Return Material Authorization (RMA).
  2. The customer is responsible for return shipping unless the item is defective.
  3. Refunds can take up to 30 working days after inspection and approval.
  4. Incomplete returns may qualify for exchange only, not a refund.

Standard warranty coverage

Products manufactured and sold by End Loadshedding are warranted to be in good working order according to standard specifications upon delivery.

  • Warranty period: 15 months from date of manufacture, or 12 months from date of commissioning / first use.
  • Coverage includes the battery box (excluding the battery), controller, solar panel and LED light sources.
  • Corrective action begins within 14 business days of written notice.
  • If defective hardware cannot be repaired or replaced within 90 days, a pro-rata refund may be provided.

Costs and exclusions

  • If a reported defect is not covered, investigation costs may be charged.
  • If no defect is found, troubleshooting costs are R2,500 per incident or light.
  • If a defective unit is not returned within 30 days, the replacement unit may be charged in full.
  • Extended warranties of 2, 4, 6 or 12 years may be purchased during the standard warranty period.

Warranty exclusions

  • Failure to follow installation, operation or maintenance instructions.
  • Repairs, alterations or modifications by unauthorized parties.
  • Improper installation, poor ventilation or non-compliant use.
  • Power surges, lightning, floods, fire, transport damage, misuse, negligence, vandalism or other external causes.
  • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, consumable components and temporary power loss.
  • Labour, installation, removal, transport, special tools and unusual site conditions.

Important distinction

  • Standard returns cover change-of-mind and ordering mistakes, provided the product remains new and unopened.
  • Warranty claims cover defective or malfunctioning products, including products already installed or in use.

This policy is effective from 02/08/25 and supersedes previous warranty terms.
