Returns Policy

This Return and Refund Policy applies to purchases made directly from Halberg Holdings (trading as End Loadshedding, Reg. 2026/290210/07) on this website and to solar systems supplied and installed by End Loadshedding within South Africa. It is in addition to any rights available under the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA).

Standard return window

  • Returns or exchanges may be requested within 30 calendar days from delivery of the goods.
  • For systems supplied and installed by End Loadshedding, the 30-day period runs from completion of installation.
  • After 30 days, returns are generally not accepted unless required by law, for example for defective goods under the CPA.

Products covered and condition

  • The policy applies to new products only.
  • Returns may be requested for defective products and for non-defective products such as change of mind or incorrect ordering, subject to the stated conditions.
  • For non-defective returns, items must be unused, in as-new condition, and returned with original packaging, manuals, cables, accessories and proof of purchase.
  • Used, damaged or incomplete returns may be refused or adjusted to reflect loss in value.

Installed systems and removals

  • A system removal may be requested within 30 days of installation completion.
  • A 15% system removal and restocking fee applies to the full value of the system.
  • This fee covers installation and removal labour and non-reusable consumables such as cables and trunking.
  • Building repairs after removal, such as filling holes or repainting, remain the customer’s responsibility.

Return methods

  1. Courier or mail: the customer arranges and pays for return shipping, and should use secure packaging and a trackable, insured service.
  2. In-person drop-off: available by prior arrangement at the designated store or warehouse.

Costs and fees

  • Return shipping and transport are the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise required by law or agreed in writing.
  • A 15% restocking fee applies to non-defective returns and system removals after installation.
  • No restocking fee applies where the product is confirmed defective, incorrectly supplied or not as described.
  • Original shipping, delivery, installation, call-out fees and third-party fees are non-refundable.

How to request a return or removal

  1. Contact End Loadshedding through the usual support channels or your allocated consultant.
  2. Provide your full name, order or invoice number, installation address where relevant, reason for return or removal, and clear photos where applicable.
  3. Wait for written approval and a return reference before sending goods back.

Exchanges, inspection and refunds

  • Exchanges are available within the same 30-day period, subject to stock availability and any price difference.
  • All returns and removed systems are inspected and tested.
  • If a product is defective in normal use, End Loadshedding may repair, replace or refund as appropriate.
  • If damage is caused by misuse, unauthorized modifications or incorrect installation not done by End Loadshedding, the return may be rejected or extra charges may apply.
  • Approved standard product refunds are processed within 30 calendar days after receipt and inspection.
  • Refunds for system removals are initiated after 30 days from the removal date, subject to deductions and inspection.

Items that may not be returnable

  • Custom or special-order products.
  • Clearance items.
  • Products that cannot be resold for safety or hygiene reasons.
