Billing Policy

Billing Terms and Conditions

The Supplier may invoice the Buyer for the Goods and any costs relating to carriage or insurance payable by the Buyer on or at any time following acceptance of the Buyer’s order for the Goods.

Unless an alternate credit period has been agreed in writing, the Buyer must pay the invoice in full, without deduction or set-off, immediately upon confirmation of the order by electronic funds transfer into the Supplier’s nominated bank account.

Where the delivery point is outside South Africa, the Buyer must also pay any taxes, duties and levies referred to in the policy within 14 days of the relevant invoice, unless an alternate credit period has been agreed.

Credit periods and review

The Supplier may set, change, shorten, lengthen or remove a credit period at its sole discretion, and any agreed credit period may differ from one order to the next.

  • If a credit period is removed, the change applies from deemed receipt of notice and can apply to outstanding invoices, subject to the policy wording on interest.
  • If a credit period is reduced, the shorter period applies to invoices issued from the date of the review.
  • If a credit period is increased, the revised period applies from the date decided by the Supplier.

Payment obligations

  • Time of payment is of the essence.
  • Payments received without a remittance advice may be allocated to the oldest invoices on the account.
  • No payment is regarded as received until cleared funds reflect in the company bank account.
  • Late payment may attract interest at the maximum permissible rate allowed by the National Credit Act.
  • Amounts due must be paid in full without deduction, withholding, set-off or counterclaim, except where required by law.
  • The Supplier may refuse to fulfil an order while any invoice remains overdue.

Accepted payment methods

  • Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club and American Express credit cards.
  • Bank transfer into the Supplier’s nominated account.

Credit card transactions are acquired via PayFast (Pty) Ltd, the approved payment gateway for First National Bank of South Africa. PayFast uses SSL3 encryption and does not store credit card details on the site.
