Description
The Araymond Powar Snap S (Medium) is the standard mid-clamp in the Powar Snap range, designed for securing adjacent solar panels to aluminium mounting rails without drilling, torque wrenches, or bolt threads to manage. The clip snaps onto the rail profile with an audible click, positively engaging the panel frames on both sides simultaneously.
The medium size fits panel frames between 35mm and 50mm in height — covering the vast majority of commercial solar panels currently on the South African market including 72-cell, 144-half-cell, and 96-cell formats. The snap mechanism maintains the required panel-to-panel gap (typically 5–10mm) for thermal expansion, drainage, and air circulation beneath the panels.
A box of 300 clips is the professional installer’s unit — sufficient for approximately 75 panels’ worth of mid-clamps, covering the interior mounting points of a 75+ panel commercial installation. The time saving over conventional bolt-on clamps is substantial: experienced installers report that snap-in clip systems reduce mechanical installation time by 30–40% compared to traditional nut-and-bolt midclamps.
