At 30A output, a flat 100Ah LiFePO4 bank can reach 80% state of charge in under three hours of driving — practical for day-trip overlanders who rely on engine time for battery recovery between bush camps. The galvanic isolation prevents any interaction between the starter battery circuit and the service bank, protecting Euro 5/6 smart alternator electronics from load spikes.
The adaptive input current limiting detects weak alternators and automatically reduces output to protect the alternator from overload — vital for older vehicles where the alternator is already working hard. VictronConnect Bluetooth monitoring shows live data and alerts on your phone throughout the journey.
